After putting in 100 hours of practice combined, both First Edition and Premiere Edition are ready to kick off their 2018 show choir seasons. High school's First Edition will start their season with a public performance on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m.

As the semester comes to a close and most people are preparing for break, high school choir teacher Casey Tecklenburg has his sights set on next semester. He will be directing a production of Footloose at Hudson High School.

Leading the Way

Eleven students represented Hudson High School at the Ed Thomas Legacy Leadership Academy this fall. “It's a great honor to be selected by teachers to help make Hudson better by being a leader,” said Sara Hansen, who was one of four freshmen to attend.

Walking on Sunshine

High school PE teacher Sean Leonard has started a “Pirate Walking Club” for staff. “Staying active during the winter can be difficult,” said Leonard. “It's cold, our bodies feel sluggish, and it gets dark early.” He hopes this club will motivate staff to overcome the challenges winter brings.

Walking Out and Standing Strong

April 20, 2018, marked 19 years since the deadly shooting in Columbine, Colorado. On that day, thousands of students across the nation took to the streets to advocate for stricter gun laws. It was the second major school walkout in two months, a powerful demonstration that showed, yet again, that this movement is not going anywhere.
